Mural
The word mural originates from the Latin word murus or "wall." Thus, mural art refers to any form of visual expression created on a wall.Murals today are painted in a variety of traditional and non-traditional ways, using oil or water-based media, and vary in style from abstract to trompe l’oeil
You can create mural on any surface like pots, ply board,Glass etc.
This mural has been created using waste hard boards,They are joined together with nails to form an abstract design to hold photographs.Photos can be replaced.(when you get bored of seeing the same photos for long time)Here I have displayed some of my student's works.
In this photoframe mural you can (occassionaly )display family photos too.
This a Glass mural with glass pieces stuck together.Handmade paper is attached as a background.
Interesting murals can also be created using terrakota pot. This ganesha is handmade with Mseal also the small door.Coarse sand is sprinkled to give a texture.
This is made with POP (plaster of paris) readymade idol. Background is painted in black and grey to give a stone effect.
This is a jharokha type wooden frame painted in terrakota color.
