Terrarium

This month I would like to share my terrarium tutorial.
A terrarium is a collection of small plants growing in a transparent, sealed container.
It  is a closed environment in  which succulents, small leafed foliages. are  planted and displayed
near the window sill. The water in the terrarium is  constantly recycled, passing from liquid form
to gas and back again. As the moisture in  the air condenses on the glass walls, it returns to the soil and is  absorbed by the plants’ roots.
A glass bottle or an old aquarium box could also be used .Plants  like Euphorbia mili,or any cactus would do just to add some color,  foliage with small leaf can also be planted like syngonium, pepperomia etc.Cocoa peat,Spagnum Moss,Broken terrakota pieces.and some fancy accessories are required for a basic terrarium

First fill the bottom with terrakota pieces and charcoal powder

Add cocoa peat ( available in the plant nursery)  mixed with sand and red earth to the bottle and plant the foliage.sprinkle sand over the plants. add pebbles to cover the roots

After planting sprinkle water with the help of "ink filler"and close the lid of the bottle.Leave near the window or wherever there is partial sunlight  indoor .and forget about the terrarium which you have just made.

JUST GO THROUGH  THE TIPS BELOW FOR JUSTIFICATION

Few years ago when I created my first terrarium  every  morning I would go near it and water the plants thinking it  would grow fast but in reality You should not water it till the plants become dry(If you water frequently all the roots would rot leaving plants dead) By mistake If you have watered excessively, walls of the bottle would be misty,In that case you can  keep the lid of the bottle open for few hours and then close to retain the moisture.Rule of the thumb is to never water frequently. Just a  few spoons once in two days  will do.

You all would have read in School History  about the Emperor  GHAZNI MOHAMMAD invading the Kingdom  umpteen times without success.I too am like Ghazni  Ah!!  but lastly he did succeed  am I right? I too am hoping that  atleast this time I would succeed .What say? Wish me good luck friends.

Enjoy the monsoon indoors with your terraium

Thanks for stopping by

However, Since the Strategic Plan still shows as Draft on the Website, and a few
other U. She saw orange lights that look almost all the same size just last a few seconds and after 15 minutes I gave up.
